“Support a cause”

I feel it is important for all men and women to support a cause that
they hold close to their heart. Take action, put in some hard work outside
of your daily routine and make a positive difference in youself or the
world you live in.
When I want to show my support for the "Obese and Unhealthy
American” cause, I visit a local fast food restaurant
and buy a unhealthy meal off their dollar
menu. Then I get a thirty-two
ounce soft drink at the convenience store across the street. And
finally I do the most important thing to help my cause, and that is
to be very careful not to get any physical
exercise. Also stay clear of fruits and vegetables and keep water
consumption to a minimum.

“Blame and Judgment”
This cause may be the most popular and has made great progress with
and without meetings or support groups. It is one of the easiest causes
to support. One can simply find the flaws of others and dwell on them.
This works well if you can concern yourself with the problems of others,
while ignoring the problems you have.
People who have provided the most aid to this cause, have been quick
to speak and slow to listen. The “Blame
and Judgment”
cause is looking for driven individuals who want to keep their self-esteem
by reminding themselves of the faults of others, and allocate blame
to the spineless and take responsibility for few things. Forming an
opinion of someone
by their appearance is a plus, as well as not getting to know someone
because you already know "their
kind".
“Sloth”
Sloth
may be an old common interest but it still gains new members. By putting
forth little
effort in things such as: earning a living or contributing in a
positive way to society, supporters can help in a tremendous way. This
cause is essentially a contradiction of itself. "The act of doing
so little, is actually doing so much." Something as contagious
as sloth spreads easily. One worker sees another not working and thinks
why should I work if he doesn't have to. Most people these days also
come to their own reason of, “someone else will do it so I don't
have to.” Whether it is speaking up for what you believe in or
picking up a gum wrapper, often times people will expect that there
is someone out there already speaking up for that belief or that someone
else will pick up the wrapper.
“Debt”
I support this cause by making purchases on my credit
card that I cannot pay off in a timely manner. Also, by not separating
things that I want from things that I need, my duty to this great cause
is done. People that support this cause will spend money on things they
don't need while overspending on things they normally purchase, and
carry every form of payment
except
cash. Why pay for something today when you can put it off until
tomorrow. If we save up money like a responsible person, and wait to
make our purchases, we would never have what we want. That is why I
patronize rent to own businesses that let you make monthly payments.
That way, I don't own the things in my house, someone else does.

On the other side, there are those that defy the “debt cause”,
these people save up three months of wages so that if they should lose
their job or source of income they will be able to survive. Some pay
off their American
Express card every month and earn great rewards. But loan and credit
companies will be just fine as long as the public continues the age
old practice of, “The more money you have, the more money you
spend.”
